F-Gas Certification – City & Guilds 2079 for Cat I & II
To obtain City & Guilds 2079 certification you will need to pass a theory test – a 50 question online exam, multiple choice (1 hr and 20 mins) and a practical assessment (up to 4 hrs) at one of our 9 UK branches; Aberdeen, Bristol, Derby, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Oxford.
Those who achieve the City & Guilds 2079 for Cat I qualification will be able to service, maintain, install, commission and leak check all stationary Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pump equipment.
How does it work?
You will prepare for the theory element of the qualification by studying the online course on F-Gas Regulations, accessible via “My Learning Account”, at your convenience. Once you are ready, you set a date to come to any Star Refrigeration UK branch to carry out the practical training and/or the assessment.
If you choose to do F-Gas practical training before the assessment, the assessor will take you through every single task you will be asked to do during the assessment and you will have a hands-on familiarisation session with the assessment rig.
Click on the Buy tab to choose the training package that fits your needs best.
To undertake this qualification, you must be able to carry out all of the tasks mentioned under practical assessment tasks.
